Fannypack landed with 'Camel Toe' topping the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in 2013, a sharp electro-pop statement that got people moving. Their sound, a mix of electronic dance and experimental pop, carried through tracks like 'Do It To It' and the 2019 album 'Wild'. But their use of Asian-inspired imagery in videos around 2015 sparked real discussions about cultural appropriation, which the band addressed at the time.
They formed as a trio in Los Angeles around 2013, with Dayve Hawk, Leigh Beisch, and Nico Segal. After the initial buzz from 'Camel Toe', they put out two EPs and the full-length 'Wild' in 2019.
