Findlay formed in London in 2010, with Nat Findlay on vocals and guitar, Tom Hodgson on bass, Alex Kean on lead guitar, and Jonathan Powell on drums. They put out their first EP, 'Autumn,' the following year. Their sound at the time was acoustic-driven, a kind of folk-infused indie rock.
A single called 'Off & On' got some attention in 2012, and their debut album 'Jupiter' came out in 2013. The lineup changed a few years later, with Adam Leonard and Jonnie Byrne replacing Kean and Powell around 2015. Nat Findlay briefly left the group in 2016, but they came back together to record a second album.
That album, 'The Island,' was released in 2017 and included the song 'The Riddle.' Some of their other tracks include 'Wave Attack' and 'Forgotten Pleasures.'
