Frank van Pamelen

Frank van Pamelen came out of Belgium in the mid-1980s. He had a background that touched on classical piano and experimental electronica, which gave his work an unusual texture. In 1986, he put out the single "1317," a track built on ethereal synths and cryptic vocals that gathered a cult following. It remains his most recognizable piece.
