Frontside was a Polish hardcore punk band that formed in Warsaw in 1982. The group included vocalist Marek 'Jaro' Jarocki, guitarist Artur 'Dziki' Zawadzki, bassist Bogdan 'Boguś' Wróblewski, and drummer Krzysztof 'Krzak' Sokołowski. They released several records through the 1980s and early 1990s, starting with the 1984 EP 'Ognia!' and continuing with albums like 'Frontside' in 1987 and 'Frontside II' in 1990.
Their 1989 EP 'Moja Deklaracja Płonie' gave them one of their most recognized songs, which shared the EP's title. Other tracks like 'Żyły' and 'Aglomeracje' also appeared in their catalog. The band's lyrics often addressed political themes, which sometimes led to friction with authorities during Poland's communist period.
Frontside played at events like the Jarocin festival, where a 1988 performance was later released as 'Live at Jarocin '88.' They put out one more studio album, 'Frontside III,' in 1994 before disbanding that same year.
