Goong formed in 2004 as a South Korean band. Their song "Perhaps Love (Sarang Een Gah Yo)" became particularly well-known, appearing on their 2007 album of the same name. Other tracks like "Guraedo Sarangida" and "Aengmusae (Princess Hours / Goong OST)" also appear in their catalog.
The band's lineup included Kim Sun-kyung on vocals, Song Hee-ran on guitar and vocals, Kim Ji-hyeon on bass, and Kim Yoon-ju on drums. They released several albums including "Goong" in 2004, "The Magic of Goong" in 2006, "The Third Journey" in 2009, and "The Fourth Season" in 2011.
In 2006, Goong faced a copyright infringement lawsuit concerning "Perhaps Love." The case brought attention to intellectual property questions in the music industry at that time. The band continued performing and recording music in the years that followed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
