A hard rock band whose biggest hit came from a 1970s cover, then became linked to a fatal fire.
For their sound, 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' is the obvious touchstone. 'House Of Broken Love' shows a different, more melodic side.
Their version of 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' was a late-80s rock radio staple, a cover of an Ian Hunter song that gave them their commercial peak. Songs like 'Save Your Love' and 'Rock Me' became live set anchors. The 2003 Station Nightclub fire, which killed 100 people including guitarist Ty Longley, became an unavoidable part of their story.
They formed in 1981 and released their debut 'Out Here on the Road' in 1984. The 1987 album 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' brought their biggest success, and they kept recording through the 1990s with albums like 'Psycho City'. The lineup shifted over the years, with Michael Lardie and Audie Desbrow joining.
