Hamradun formed in Iceland in the early 1990s, drawing on the country's folklore and landscapes. The band's name translates to 'seaside meadow,' which hints at their connection to natural elements. Their lineup has stayed consistent with Steindór Andersen on vocals and guitar, Guðmundur Jónsson playing instruments like the langspil and hurdy-gurdy, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen on bass, and Sigtryggur Baldursson on drums.
