Frontman Brian Wille writes lyrics that often deal with personal struggles and the passage of time. Their song 'Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow' touches on these themes, as do tracks like '11:11' and 'A Martyr's Journey'.

In 2016, guitarist Kyle Roberts was arrested for drug possession and left the band temporarily. The group continued touring and recording after his departure.
