Ivory Rasmus formed in 1999 with Matt Till on vocals and guitar, Matt Nichols on guitar, Jason McArthur on bass, and Dave Klyman on drums. Their debut album, 'At the End of the Night,' came out in 2001 and included the single 'What I've Become,' which got some radio play and helped them build an audience.
They put out three more albums over the next decade: 'The Great Escape' in 2004, 'Traveller' in 2007, and 'Firefight' in 2011. The sound shifted a bit across those records, moving from straightforward rock to something a little more experimental and back again.
In 2008, Dave Klyman left the band and was replaced by Kevin Haskins. There were also some legal issues with their label that slowed things down for a while.
