Jake Bleau is a musician from Massachusetts who moved to Los Angeles in his late teens. His song "Me at 17" came out in 2019 and got some attention for its take on teenage relationships. He put out a debut album called "In My Head" the following year.
When "Me at 17" started getting noticed, there was some talk about what the song was saying. Bleau said it was drawn from his own experience and was meant to look at first love without making it seem simple or perfect.
He mostly works as a solo artist but has played with a band that includes Ethan Katz on guitar, Sam Littlefield on bass, and Josh Wiener on drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
