Kai Tracid is the stage name of Uwe Schmidt, a German electronic musician who emerged in the mid-1990s. He released albums such as 'The Expansion' in 1999 and 'Kaleidoscope' in 2001.

His music sometimes drew attention for its introspective themes, which stood out in dance music contexts. Over time, he collaborated with other figures in the scene, including Oliver Lieb and Sasha, contributing to tracks like 'Turn Around the World'. These partnerships helped shape his sound during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
