Katastro formed in Orange County, California in 2004, with brothers Mark and John Winger teaming up with childhood friend Jason Waldron. Their debut album 'Move Like Creatures' came out in 2007, and the title track became something of an anthem for them. After bassist Mark Winger left in 2010, the band brought in Christian Oliva on bass and Ryan Olson on drums. They released 'Kaleidoscope' in 2012 and 'The Theory of Everything' in 2016, with the later album showing a more introspective side. Songs like 'Alone' and 'Angels' reflect that shift toward more personal material.
They kept touring through lineup changes and different album cycles, maintaining a connection with their core audience even as their sound evolved from the straightforward rock of their early work.
