Leetspeak Monsters

Leetspeak Monsters formed around vocalist Rachel Red and producer Max Ravioli, who shared an interest in darkwave and chiptune music. They worked with lo-fi equipment early on, which gave their sound a particular texture. In 2012, their track 'Witch's House' gained attention for its eerie melody and lyrics, helping them build a following.

Other songs like 'Black Owl' and 'Cheeky Devil' continued in that vein, mixing electronic elements with dark, playful themes. They released albums including 'Hallucination' and 'Shadowplay,' which explored variations on their core sound without straying too far from what listeners expected.

Their music often feels like it exists in a shadowy digital space, where familiar pop structures get twisted into something slightly off-kilter. They never became mainstream stars, but they maintained a consistent presence in certain electronic music circles, putting out work that felt both nostalgic and quietly unsettling.
