Se escuchará a continuación, de Johann Sebastian Mastropiero, su "Concerto Grosso alla rustica" Opus 58 para concertino puneño, integrado por quena, charango y bombo, dúo de recitantes, bajo continuo y orquesta de cuerdas alternada.
El Concerto Grosso alla rustica le fue inspirado a Mastropiero por un extraño poema escrito por Torcuato Gemini, durante el exilio del poeta en la quebrada de Humahuaca, más precisamente en la localidad de Tilcara. Gemini había debido exiliarse perseguido por sus ideas. Lamentablemente alguna de sus ideas lo persiguieron aún hasta Tilcara. Leyendo su poema, no obstante, se deduce que ninguna idea logró reunirse con él. Preguntado Mastropiero sobre que lo había inspirado de dicho poema, contestó: "ni idea".
La denominación del Opus 58 de Mastropiero Concerto Grosso alla rustica no obedece tanto a su forma musical, como podría suponerse; en realidad traduce en forma abreviada la dedicatoria que hizo Gemini de su poema a una opulenta doncella del altiplano y que decía: "Con certo sentimento d'amore, alla signorina grossa e rustica". La primera cuarteta del poema de Gemini dice así:
Oh mia bella, o mia cara;
per te rido, e per te piango
n'ell Pucará de Tilcara
al suonar del mio charango.
