It's About Time

I'm sitting here in the dark.

Tv noises are numbing my ears.

I'm rubbing my eyes. Pretending I'm blind.

I'm smelling my feet. My very own pollution.

The bitter taste of a calming beer runs through my throat.

But the important thing is: What am I feeling?

I feel nothing but the touch of my own two hands.

All this pressure is compressing my chest.
