Some legends say to be careful what you wish for,

Because you never know what’s a-coming down your way.

All the old housewives say to be careful what you die for,

You would be wise to keep an eye out ’cause

Good old beelzebub’s always sneaking round the bend,

And yesterday has come and gone, tomorrow’s nearly drawing to an end.

Beluga was a boy,

He knew the verses and his christian name,

But since he lost himself in the woods one day

He just couldn’t bring himself to put his hands back on the cross.

But Jesus, he still had hope, his mother told him so.

His father he would say, “son if it were up to me,

You’d be praying to the holy see until

You fall into your grave with a bible, some holy water and your rosaries.”

I want to know who were they to say such things?

Soon you’ll be destitute and godless with a sickness that the devil surely brings.

Soon you’ll be rotting in a coffin with your relics and your rubies and your rings.
