Odyn v Kanoe is a Ukrainian duo formed in 2013 by Artem Tkachenko and Maria Popova. They put out their first album 'Nebo' in 2015, followed by 'Morskaya' in 2018. Their song 'Um Barco' came out in 2020.
Tkachenko handles vocals, guitar, and songwriting under the name Odyn, while Popova, as Kanoe, contributes vocals, keyboards, and songwriting. Their work has drawn attention for its mix of folk and electronic elements.
They've faced some pushback in Ukraine for supporting gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights, but kept making music through it. Their catalog includes the 2022 release 'Na Krai'.
