Y un mar de mástiles ardiendo
hizo estandarte el fuego que rugía,
hizo constante el peso de la aurora,
estableció las leyes del futuro.

pueblo el agua, la siembra,
el viento y el molino;
pueblo es la letra, pueblo la ventana,
la cosecha, la espuela,
el canto y la palabra,
y suyos son los combates,
suyos los deberes
y el derecho incesante de alumbrar la tierra
