Rabenschrey

Rabenschrey formed in 2000 from the remains of the German metal band Power God, with vocalist Thomas "Tommy" Herz at the center. Their debut album "Rainshadow" came out in 2001, but it was their third album "All or Nothing" in 2008 that brought wider attention, partly thanks to the single "Auf Ewig." The group has included guitarists Stefan Hanß and Mike Terrana, bassist Jens Faber, and keyboardist Fionn Christ, though the lineup has shifted over time with Herz as the consistent presence.

Their songs like "Der Kelte," "Racheschwur," and "Schattenläufer" fit within a melodic metal style that draws from classic influences. They've toured in Europe, North America, and Asia, and have played shows with bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Helloween. Later albums include "Until Dawn" from 2010, "Gemini" from 2012, and "Taken" from 2015.

In 2009, Herz made some remarks about women in society that stirred criticism, leading the band to apologize and distance themselves from those comments. The incident didn't stop their recording or touring, but it became part of their story. Their lyrics often touch on personal themes, and they've maintained a following through the years without becoming a mainstream fixture.
