The Supersuckers came out of Seattle in the early 1990s with a rough mix of punk and rockabilly. Their song 'Fisticuffs' became something of an anthem for their live shows, which were known for being loud and unpolished. Some critics at the time called their sound too rough, but that didn't stop them from building a following.
They put out their self-titled debut in 1992, followed by 'La Mano Cornuda' in 1994, which had 'Fisticuffs' on it. 'Must've Been High' came out in 1997, and 'Get the Hell' in 1999. Eddie Spaghetti handled vocals and guitar, with Metal Marty Chandler on guitar. Their 2018 album 'Devil's Food' touched on some blues and soul, but mostly stayed close to what they'd been doing for years.
Along the way they recorded a cover of Outkast's 'Hey Ya!' and songs like 'Sleepy Vampire' and 'Bloody Mary Morning.' They never really smoothed out their edges, which was probably the point.
