Don’t Tell Me What I Want To Hear

Sometimes I feel like I’m summer construction

Never useful for anything, just stuck in the way

Sometimes I feel like I’m a high school production

Cause I’m still scared whenever I walk out on the stage

Are they gonna laugh at me?

Will my words come out right?

Forever will I be lonely?

Or just for another night?

A waste of my last dollar because I’m fresh out of luck
