A Sydney band that built a following with songs about mental health and resilience.
If you want to hear what they're about, try 'Come Home' or 'The Edge.' They're both pretty straightforward and get the point across.
They've been writing about real stuff since the beginning. 'The Edge' from their 2016 album 'Limitless' talks openly about mental health, and it became a fan favorite. Their live shows have a reputation for connecting with people, especially at festivals.
Jenna McDougall and Whakaio Taahi met at a music festival in 2008 and started the band. After lineup changes in 2012, they kept going with songs like 'The Other Side' and eventually put out 'Underworld' in 2018, which had 'My Underworld' with Corey Taylor.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
