Under the Weather came out of Melbourne with a sound that mixed hard rock, alternative, and punk elements.
Frontman Scott Russo handled vocals while John Mollison and Matt Scanlon played guitar, with Ben Wilson on bass and Harley Webster on drums. Their songs like 'Brain Candy,' 'Nothing To Share,' and 'Pain Stain' showed they weren't sticking to one formula.
Some of their lyrics, particularly in 'Bleed Red,' sparked conversations about what artists could say publicly. They kept playing and recording without becoming a mainstream fixture, leaving behind a handful of albums that certain listeners still return to.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
