Xanadoo came together in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, with Anya Blackwood on vocals, Damian Hayes on guitar, Ethan Cole on bass, and Jonas Reed on drums. They worked in the city's underground scene for a few years before putting out 'Blood is Dirt' in 1995, a song that became their most recognizable track.
Their debut album 'The Dream Thieves' arrived in 2000. The band went on hiatus around 2005, with Blackwood doing some solo work. They got back together in 2010 and released albums like 'The Serpent's Tongue' in 2012. Other songs from their catalog include 'Subterranean Hemorrhoid Blues' and 'Plague of Mankind'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
