You Me and Everyone We Know formed in San Diego in 2004 around brothers Ben and Aaron Weissman with drummer Nicholas Krgovich. Their debut album 'Something for Everyone' came out in 2006, followed by 'A New Kind of Normal' in 2009. That record included the single 'The Rent Is Due,' which got some attention for how it captured a certain economic anxiety.
Their songs like 'I'm Alright' and 'A Bigger Point of Pride' often work with melancholic melodies and driving rhythms. The lyrics tend to be introspective, dealing with personal struggles. After a hiatus, they returned in 2018 with an album called 'Luminaries.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
