Zanza Alves was born Maria de Nazaré Alves dos Santos in Salvador, Bahia. Her debut single "Malas Prontas" in 2016 brought her wider attention, and she followed it with albums like "Alvorada," "Teia," and "Eclipse." She has worked with musicians including percussionist Edinho Alves, bassist Daniel Silva, and guitarist Serginho Procópio.
Her songs often address social themes, and she has collaborated with artists such as Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Maria Bethânia. Another track, "Na Hora do Prazer," appears among her popular work. Zanza Alves continues to write and perform from her base in Brazil.
