Aufgebracht das Volk laut schreit und feuert so den Henker an,
dass er sich beeilen möge, leiden soll der böse Mann.
All' Gutes hat sich abgewandt von dem, der dort im Käfig hängt,
doch zum Hohne aller hier, Aufmerksamkeit auf sich gelenkt.
