A late-80s band that built a following with raw shows before their 1991 debut.
For the band's sound, start with "Dig the Crazy." For the later, moodier side, try "Antidote."
They came out of Los Angeles with a sound that felt immediate and unpolished. The single "Dig the Crazy" got heavy radio play in 1991, and their lyrics and stage antics drew both fan enthusiasm and criticism. Songs like "Little Girl" and "Antidote" capture that push-pull energy.
The original lineup, Faith Marie, Jake "Razor" Sharp, Brad "Thunder" Jenkins, and Mike "Boom" Baker, built a live reputation before releasing "Into the Fire" in 1991. Bassist Brad Jenkins left in 1993, replaced by Scott "Rhino" Richards, and the band broke up in 1996. After that, Faith Marie tried acting while Sharp and Richards started another band called Sharp Edge.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
