Lagerstein's track 'Jungle Juice Journey' became something of an anthem in certain electronic circles in the early 2000s. Their debut album 'Psychedelic Playground' came out in 2001, and that song was on it. The music pulled from trance, progressive house, and psychedelic rock, with some tribal rhythms mixed in. They were part of that late-90s wave interested in Goa trance and ambient techno.
Founding members included Alex Schmidt, who went by Lager and handled production, and Maria Müller, who went by Stein and sang. Her voice tended to float over the heavier beats. They put out a couple more albums after the first one, 'Cosmic Odyssey' in 2003 and 'Elysian Fields' in 2005. Other songs people remember include 'Beer', 'Beer Bong Song', 'Dreaded Skies', and 'Harpoon The Sun'.
