Bucket of Blood

Back then when chivalry was all but dead,

I spoke to you that night.

As polyamorous cadavers sang of war and broken rides.

Now the light are gone,

and someone else is here,

I hear them sit beside me.

This life of mine is spiraling into a place I fear you dare not follow...it won't be long til the end.

I can't close my eyes.

I try to hold my breath before I scream out loud.

Am I shrinking or did this room just get bigger?

Just turn on the lights...or am I falling down...endlessly falling?

It seems there's nothing left for me.

Rapacious talons digging through my skin as I leave this world behind.

A thinning air asphyxiating me...I don't know if I'll last the night.

Now it's too late as blue skies fade to black and the stars permeate my view.

These visions fade away as I watch myself explode (this makes no sense,

this fucked up dream).

And now it seems there's nothing left for me.

They bind to me completely this time.

Pouring forth impossible commands at an effigy of someone I could ever know...suspended in the air cuz I'm spiraling into a place that I know you dare not follow.

regain my faith,

escape this lucid nightmare.
