The band behind "Justin Timberlake" and "Sittin' At a Bar" mixed straightforward rock with pop hooks.
For the Rehab sound, "Justin Timberlake" is the obvious start. But "Sittin' At a Bar" gives you the barstool version of their story.
Rehab's 2004 song "Justin Timberlake" became a genuine hit, not just for its title but for how it wrapped heartbreak in a catchy melody that stuck. Their music had this soulful harmony thing happening underneath what sounded like regular rock radio fare. Tracks like "Sittin' At a Bar" and "Bartender" got played because they were direct and uncomplicated.
They formed in Atlanta around 2001 with Danny Boone up front. After albums like 2004's Rehab and 2008's Graffiti, Boone left around 2009 and guitarist Marc Roberge took over vocals.
