Son of Dork was a pop-punk band formed in 2004 by James Bourne, who had been the lead singer of Busted. He started it with bassist Steve Robson. Their debut single "Boyband" reached the top ten on the UK Singles Chart that same year.
In 2005, they put out a self-titled debut album. It included "Eddie's Song," which became another hit.
Beyond "Boyband" and "Eddie's Song," their catalog included tracks like "Party's Over" and a cover of Spin Doctors' "Two Princes." The band's lineup centered on Bourne and Robson, and their music often had a satirical, camp-aware edge about boy-band culture.
