Vom Vorton formed in Oulu, Finland around 2021, with Ville Rutanen on vocals and guitar and Juho Vähä-Pirilä on drums. They were later joined by bassist Janne Ruokonen and guitarist Jari Salonen. Their debut single "After the World Has Ended" came out in 2022, followed by the album "I: From the Ashes" that same year.
Their music falls into atmospheric metalcore territory, with songs like "Angry Man" and "Bad News" showing their range. They released a second album called "IV: Death Transcends Us" in 2023, along with the single "Empires of Dust."
Early in their career, the band faced some plagiarism accusations, which they denied. They've kept a relatively low profile since then, letting their two albums and handful of singles speak for themselves.
